AC/DC Announces 2025 Stadium Tour of Australia With Amyl and The Sniffers

AC/DC is heading back to their roots. The legendary Australian rock band has announced a five-city stadium tour across the country for November and December 2025. This will be their first Australian tour in ten years.
The tour begins on November 12 at Melbourne Cricket Ground and ends in Brisbane on December 14. Stops include Sydney, Adelaide, and Perth. Tickets will go on sale in waves starting Thursday, June 26.

The tour supports their latest album Power Up, released in 2020. The album was a commercial hit, debuting at No. 1 in Australia and in 20 other countries. It also topped the Billboard 200 in the U.S., becoming the band’s third album to do so.
Power Up received critical praise and landed on several year-end “Best Of” lists from outlets like Rolling Stone and Consequence of Sound. It also earned three Grammy nominations, including Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance for the single Shot in the Dark.
AC/DC launched the Power Up tour in Europe in 2024. More than 1.7 million tickets were sold in the first few days. The tour eventually passed 2 million tickets across 24 shows. After wrapping up 10 sold-out shows in North America, the band is currently finishing a second leg of European dates.
The upcoming Australian run will feature the band’s current lineup. Frontman Brian Johnson returns to vocals after stepping back in 2016 due to hearing issues. Guitarist Angus Young, a founding member, is back on lead guitar. Stevie Young, who took over rhythm guitar duties from Malcolm Young in 2014, is also returning.
Newer members include drummer Matt Laug, who joined in 2023, and bassist Chris Chaney, formerly of Jane’s Addiction, who came on board in 2024. Longtime bassist Cliff Williams retired in 2016 but briefly returned for the Power Up album and the Power Trip festival.
AC/DC formed in Sydney in 1973. Over the past 50 years, the band has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide. Their 1980 album Back in Black remains the best-selling album by any band in history, with over 50 million copies sold globally.
They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003 and continue to draw huge crowds around the world. Their music still racks up billions of streams each year.
