Deftones are heading back to Europe in 2026. The Sacramento-based alternative metal band has confirmed a 15-date arena tour across Europe and the United Kingdom in support of their upcoming album Private Music.

The tour begins January 29 in Paris and wraps up February 20 at The O2 in London. Along the way, they’ll hit major cities including Berlin, Amsterdam, Manchester, and Dublin.

Joining them on the road are rapper Denzel Curry and post-hardcore group Drug Church, both slated as support acts for the full run of dates.

New Album Incoming

Deftones’ tour announcement comes just weeks ahead of the release of their tenth studio album, Private Music, due out August 22 via Reprise/Warner. Produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who previously worked with the band on Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan, the album marks a return to a more focused, stripped-back approach.

Private Music features 11 tracks and explores themes such as nature, mental resilience, and the metaphysical. Longtime members Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham, and Frank Delgado are all back, along with touring bassist Fred Sablan, who also contributed to the album.

About the Band

Formed in 1988, Deftones have built a reputation for blending heavy metal, alternative rock, and experimental textures. Albums like White Pony and Ohms have earned them critical acclaim and a loyal global fanbase.

Their sound mixes heavy riffs with atmospheric production and often leans into themes of introspection, surrealism, and emotional weight. Over the decades, the band has kept its core identity while gradually evolving, album by album.

Ohms, released in 2020, was praised for its balance of aggression and beauty. It also earned the band two Grammy nominations. Private Music looks set to continue that legacy.

New Faces, Old Issues

Fred Sablan, best known for playing bass with Marilyn Manson, joined Deftones as a touring bassist in 2022. He replaces Sergio Vega, who left after contract disagreements.

Vega addressed the situation in a video posted to Instagram, explaining the decision from his side after the band updated promo materials without him.

Also joining the touring lineup is Lance Jackman, a second guitarist with roots in the Sacramento scene, including bands like Eightfourseven, Horseneck, and Will Haven.
