Fit For A King have unveiled Lonely God, their eighth studio album, scheduled to arrive August 1, 2025 via Solid State Records.

The announcement came with a music video (available at the end of this article) for the blistering title track, which showcases the band’s signature blend of gnarly riffs, guttural growls, heavy grooves, and a dash of industrial crunch.

Ryan Kirby, the band’s vocalist, frames the song’s theme around the sacrifices made in pursuit of power:

“They’re trading companionship, relationships, and love for power and money. You may have all of the power and be a ‘God,’ but it’s a lonely spot because the world despises you”.

He says that Lonely God is their most organic offering yet. The band wrote with no agendas, ignoring trends or chart ambitions, focusing purely on what felt authentic.

Kirby also highlighted how every member left their mark, pointing to tighter songwriting and a stronger emotional core compared to their previous work .

The album’s production took place in Los Angeles under the guidance of Daniel Braunstein, best known for his work with Spiritbox.

Guest spots on the record include Lochie Keogh (Alpha Wolf) on “Monolith,” Landon Tewers (The Plot In You) on “Technium,” and Chris Motionless (Motionless In White) on the closing track “Witness The End”.
