Fifteen years after dropping their debut Feel The Steel, Steel Panther is still out there doing what they do best: mocking, exaggerating, and somehow keeping hair metal alive with a straight face and a wink.

Since that first record hit, the band managed to snag awards from Loudwire and Metal Hammer, even landing consistently on Billboard’s Top 200.

All while performing songs that parody the very genre they’re technically part of.

More Dates Added

The band’s current run celebrating Feel The Steel keeps growing. After kicking off in the UK, Steel Panther extended their European leg and will circle back to the US later this summer.

They’re not just playing clubs. The tour bounces from major festivals like Download Festival and Tons Of Rock to intimate venues across multiple countries.

Their schedule reads like a European geography exam: Castle Donington, Glasgow, Camden, Dublin, Wien, Leipzig, Arnhem, Köln, Düsseldorf, Oslo, Braunschweig, Frankfurt, Bochum, Dunaújváros, Regensburg, Memmingen, Geiselwind—and that’s before they even get back stateside.

Europe First

The European leg started strong with Download Festival on June 15, followed by a run through Scotland, Ireland, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Hungary.

Not exactly the typical dive bar tour for a band that built its identity on playing like it’s still 1987.

U.S. Leg Incoming

After wrapping up Europe in early July, Steel Panther will take a breather before picking things back up in Las Vegas on August 16.

From there, they’ll zig-zag across the United States, hitting cities like San Diego, Anaheim, Plano, Biloxi, Charles Town, Harrisburg, Tulsa, Wichita, and Kansas City through September.

The venues range from casinos to House of Blues locations, staying true to Steel Panther’s brand of slightly unpolished, nostalgia-fueled spectacle.

Still In Character

Through it all, Steel Panther stays committed to the formula that got them here: parodying the over-the-top excess of ’80s glam rock while simultaneously delivering the kind of technical proficiency that many serious bands would envy.

What makes them particularly odd is how seriously they take the joke. As Michael Starr once told Metal Hammer about their approach:

“We’re not making fun of metal. We love this stuff. But if you can’t laugh at how ridiculous it all is sometimes, you’re missing the point.”
