- As I Lay Dying, now consisting solely of Tim Lambesis, has been confirmed for Welcome to Rockville 2025, following the departure of all other members.

The lineup for Welcome to Rockville 2025 has been rolling out steadily, but one name caught more than a few raised eyebrows this weekend—As I Lay Dying. For those not keeping score, the band is now essentially just Tim Lambesis. That’s right, every other member jumped ship not long ago, leaving Lambesis to figure out how to keep this thing afloat. Whether he’s found a new lineup or plans to pull a one-man-band stunt remains anyone’s guess. The clock’s ticking, though—Rockville kicks off in May.
After the mass exodus, Lambesis issued a statement that reads like a motivational speech you’d hear at a self-help seminar. He reminded everyone of the band’s roots in “persistence and determination,” noting that more than 20 musicians have cycled through the group since its early days. If nothing else, the guy’s got stamina. He also expressed optimism about assembling a fresh crew, one that fosters a “supportive, positive, and creative environment.” Noble goals, though whether that translates into an actual working band remains to be seen.

For now, As I Lay Dying is moving ahead with their new album, Through Storms Ahead, which hits the streets this Friday. The record features the now-departed lineup of Lambesis, Phil Sgrosso, Ken Susi, Ryan Neff, and Nick Pierce. In true Lambesis fashion, the band is releasing an album just as its personnel dissolves into thin air. You have to admire the audacity, if nothing else.
Meanwhile, Welcome to Rockville promises to be a packed affair, running from May 15 to 18 at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. If you’re itching to grab tickets, they’re already available. Here’s a sampling of the massive lineup:
