Guitarist Phil Sgrosso described “Burden” as a resurrected riff from the depths of forgotten demos. “It started with a melody I thought was buried forever,” Sgrosso shared. “Tim rediscovered it and spun it into something new. The collaboration with Hiram Hernandez and our new members gave it—and the band—a fresh edge. It’s both a nod to our melodic roots and a leap into heavier, more aggressive territory.”
Sgrosso didn’t hold back when hyping their ambition for the track, either. “We pushed ourselves musically, and ‘Burden’ reflects that evolution. Expect to hear this one live—it’s just the beginning of what we’ve been working on these last few years.”
The music video, directed by Tom Flynn, gets its share of praise too. “Flynn captured the intensity we wanted,” Sgrosso added. “The concept for the video will also play into our next single, so stay tuned.” High praise, sure—but they’re banking on fans feeling the same.
