Femme Fatale, the rock band led by Lorraine Lewis, has returned with a new song called “Living Like There’s No Tomorrow” (watch it below).

The track is now available through Cleopatra Records, and its official music video, directed by Vicente Cordero, is out now.

This marks the band’s first new music in years and comes nearly four decades after the release of their debut album in 1988.

That record produced the hits “Waiting For The Big One” and “Falling In And Out of Love.”

A personal comeback for Lorraine Lewis

Lorraine Lewis co-wrote the new single with Steve Brown, the guitarist and vocalist from Trixter. Brown also produced the song at his Mojo Vegas 6160 studio in New Jersey.

Lewis says the lyrics hit close to home.

“There have been times when I thought it all might be over,” she said. “But I picked myself up, brushed off the dirt, and got back in the ring.”

She adds that the song is about resilience, staying true to yourself, and never giving up, something she believes many people can relate to.

High-flying visuals

The video for “Living Like There’s No Tomorrow” includes footage of Lewis skydiving. Yes, that’s actually her jumping out of a plane. It’s meant to reflect the song’s message of living life to the fullest, no matter the risks.

Lewis, now 66, is clearly not slowing down. In addition to the new music, she’s working on a book, exploring reality TV projects, and is active on OnlyFans.

“My foot is always on the gas,” she said.

All-star rock lineup

The single features an experienced group of musicians:

  • Lorraine Lewis on lead vocals
  • Steve Brown and David Julian on guitars
  • R.J. Ronquillo on guitar solo
  • Sean McNabb on bass
  • Kent Slucher on drums
  • Eric Ragno on keyboards
  • Backing vocals by Lewis and Brown

Other musicians involved in the recording process include Bruno Ravel, who mixed the song, and Scott Gutierezz, who helped engineer it.

From Vixen to Femme Fatale

Lewis recently returned full-time to Femme Fatale after her time fronting the all-female band Vixen.

She joined Vixen in 2019 after Janet Gardner left the group, but Lewis was let go in May 2024 and replaced by Rosa Laricchiuta.

Even while with Vixen, Lewis remained connected to Femme Fatale. In 2016, a collection of previously unreleased demos from the early ’90s was released under the name One More For The Road.

The band also dropped a live album earlier this year that included a cover of AC/DC’s “It’s A Long Way To The Top.”

“This is my band”

While the original Femme Fatale lineup included male bandmates, the group became known for its female rock energy.

Lewis says she’s now returning to the original vibe, with a band full of “rock star dudes,” as she puts it.

“There’s just a difference in energy,” she told Misplaced Straws. “There’s a power that comes with that, and I love it.”

Her current band features well-known musicians like Joel Hoekstra (Whitesnake), Sean McNabb (Dokken, Quiet Riot), and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr. Big).

Lewis also recorded a duet with Leather Leone of Chastain, with Hoekstra on guitar. That track is expected to be released soon.

Inspired by Cher

Lewis says Cher has become a recent source of inspiration for her.

“She’s such a fierce open-book badass,” Lewis said. “She’s just done things the way she’s wanted to.”

While Lewis knows her band members may have other commitments, like Hoekstra’s work with Cher, she’s prepared to adapt.

“I will relinquish to Cher,” she joked. “Because Cher is the queen.”

Femme Fatale plans to release more singles soon, with Lewis promising big songs on the way.
